Johari bin Abdul Ghani
Johari bin Abdul Ghani is a Malaysian politician and chartered accountant. He began his career as an auditor at Peat Marwick & Co. (now KPMG) and has since held various senior positions, including group managing director and chairman in several listed and unlisted companies. His corporate experience spans over 25 years in industries such as fast food, manufacturing, and agriculture. Johari has also contributed to public service, serving as Chairman of ‘Jawatankuasa Pemakanan Negara’, a member of ‘Lembaga Pelawat Hospital Kuala Lumpur’ and ‘Jawatankuasa Badan Amal & Aduan Rakyat Wilayah Persekutuan’. He is a member of the Malaysia Economic Council and previously served on the board of directors of Khazanah Nasional Berhad. Currently, he chairs the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA) and is a board member of Yayasan Pelaburan Bumiputera and Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (YPPB). He is also the founder and chairman of Yayasan Bena Nusa and a board member of Yayasan Pendidikan Titiwangsa, both dedicated to addressing urban poverty and enhancing educational opportunities.
