Nancy binti Shukri

Nancy binti Shukri was born on 5 August 1961 in Kuching, Sarawak. She is of Malay, Melanau, Scottish, Iban, and Chinese ancestry. She received her early education in Kuching before pursuing a diploma in public administration at Universiti Teknologi MARA. She later obtained a Bachelor of Laws with honours from the University of Hull (1987-1990) and an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from Ohio University. Nancy was elected as the Member of Parliament for Batang Sadong in the 2008 general election. She has held several ministerial portfolios, including Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, and Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture. She is currently the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development since December 2022 and the MP for Santubong since November 2022. She is a member of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB). She is married with three children.
