Syed Saddiq bin Syed Abdul Rahman
Syed Saddiq bin Syed Abdul Rahman is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Muar since May 2018. He was the Minister of Youth and Sports from July 2018 to February 2020, making him the youngest-ever federal minister in Malaysia. He was a co-founder and the first Youth Chief of the Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) from 2016 to 2020. In September 2020, he founded and became the first President of the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance (MUDA). On 9 November 2023, he was found guilty on four charges of corruption related to the funds of BERSATU's youth wing, Armada, and subsequently stepped down as MUDA's president. He announced his departure from MUDA on 10 September 2023 to serve as an independent MP.
