Young Syefura Othman

Young Syefura Othman, nicknamed Rara, born on 9 November 1989, is a Malaysian politician and nurse. She has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bentong since November 2022. Previously, she was a Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Ketari from May 2018 to November 2022. She is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. Within DAP, she serves as Assistant National Publicity Secretary since March 2025, Vice Women Chief since September 2023, and State Vice Chairperson of Pahang since September 2024. She is notable for being the first Bentong MP of Malay ethnicity, the first female Malay MP of DAP, and currently the youngest MP of DAP. On 10 November 2022, she suffered a miscarriage after eight weeks of pregnancy.
