
Larry Sng Wei Shien
Datuk Larry Sng Wei Shien is a Taiwanese-born Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Julau since May 2018. He previously served as Member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Pelagus from September 2001 to April 2011. He was the State Chairman of the People's Justice Party (PKR) of Sarawak before leaving to become an independent on 28 February 2021, declaring support for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition. He is currently the President of Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) since January 2022 and is the sole PBM MP, with his party aligned to the Unity Government. Born on 14 September 1979 in Taipei, his father, Sng Chee Hua, was also a politician and businessman, and his grandfather, Sng Chin Joo, was an MP and Council Negri member. He grew up in Kuala Lumpur and England, studying at the London School of Economics.
