Mohammed Taufiq bin Johari

Mohammed Taufiq bin Johari (born 6 March 1996) is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sungai Petani since November 2022. He is a member and the Division Chief of Sungai Petani of the People's Justice Party (PKR), a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He also served as one of the Vice Youth Chiefs of PKR since May 2025. He is the son of the Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, Johari Abdul, and is currently the youngest MP at the age of 29. He is also the sole PH MP in the four states controlled by Perikatan Nasional (Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu). He married Fathiya Ainul Mardhiyah Andri Nopendra on 9 March 2024. He was born in Kuala Lumpur and is the sixth of eight children. He received the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong Installation Medal in 2025.
