Teresa Kok Suh Sim
Teresa Kok Suh Sim, born 31 March 1964 in Kuala Lumpur, is a Malaysian politician of Chinese Hakka descent and a Catholic. She holds a Bachelor of Communication from Universiti Sains Malaysia (1990) and a Master of Philosophy from University of Malaya. A long-standing member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), she has served as the Member of Parliament for Seputeh since November 1999 and became Deputy Chairperson of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in July 2024. Her past roles include Minister of Primary Industries (July 2018 - February 2020) and Senior Member of the Selangor State Executive Council (EXCO) and MLA for Kinrara (March 2008 - May 2013). She also worked as political secretary to Lim Kit Siang (1990-1995) and writes a weekly column for Sin Chew Daily.
