Howard Lee Chuan How

Howard Lee Chuan How is a Malaysian politician born in Ipoh in 1983. He received his early education in Malaysia before continuing his secondary and college education in the United Kingdom. His political involvement began at age 16 when he was elected vice president of a student union in the UK. He contested for Norwich City Council under the UK Liberal Democrats in 2010. Lee returned to Malaysia in late 2007 and joined the Democratic Action Party (DAP) in January 2008. He served as the Member of the Perak State Legislative Assembly for Pasir Pinji from May 2013 to November 2022 and was a Perak State Executive Councillor from May 2018 to March 2020. He also served as Youth Chief for DAP and Pakatan Harapan. In 2016, he was elected the 24th President of the International Union of Socialist Youth (IUSY). Since November 2022, he has served as the Member of Parliament for Ipoh Timor. He is currently the State Treasurer of DAP of Perak and will be the National Political Education Director of DAP from March 2025.
