Steven Sim Chee Keong

Steven Sim Chee Keong, born on 13 May 1982 in Bukit Mertajam, Penang, Malaysia, is a Malaysian politician and a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP). He currently serves as the Minister of Human Resources since December 2023 and has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bukit Mertajam since May 2013. Previously, he held positions as Deputy Minister of Finance II (December 2022 - December 2023) and Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports (July 2018 - February 2020). He started his political career as a member of the Seberang Perai Municipal Council in January 2011. He holds a degree in Computer Science from the University of Malaya (2004) and a Masters in Sustainable Development from Sunway University (2020). He is married to Chan Jo Rin.
