Tan Kok Wai
Tan Kok Wai (born 7 October 1957) is a Malaysian politician and a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP). He has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Cheras since April 1995, and previously as the MP for Sungai Besi from August 1986 to April 1995. He was appointed Special Envoy of Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to China and Chairman of Malaysia-China Business Council from August 2018 to March 2020. Within the DAP, he served as its 1st Advisor from March 2020 to March 2025 and its 4th National Chairman from March 2014 to March 2022. He also serves as the 1st Chairman of the Federal Territories Pakatan Harapan. He is currently the longest-serving active MP in Malaysia after Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah lost re-election in 2022.
