Teo Nie Ching

Teo Nie Ching, born on 27 January 1981, is a Malaysian politician and lawyer. She pursued her law degree from the University of the West of England in 2002 and later obtained her Certificate in Legal Practice from the University of Malaya in 2004. Her political career began with her election as the Member of Parliament for Serdang in 2008. She has since served as the MP for Kulai since 2013. In government, she served as the Deputy Minister of Education from 2018 to 2020, Deputy Minister of Communications and Digital from 2022 to 2023, and currently serves as the Deputy Minister of Communications since December 2023. A prominent member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP), she has held various party roles including International Secretary, National Publicity Secretary, Women Chief, and is designated as National Vice Chairman from March 2025. Her family has a political background, with her father, sister, and brother-in-law also involved in DAP.
