Lee Chean Chung
Lee Chean Chung is a Malaysian politician, researcher, and environmental activist. Born and raised in Kuantan, Pahang, he holds an Engineering degree from Multimedia University, a Master of Science in Transportation and Logistics from Malaysia University of Science and Technology, and a Master in Public Administration from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. He was also a Dong Fang Scholar from Peking University. He is a member of the People's Justice Party (PKR) and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He has served as the Communications Director of PKR since July 2022, Vice Chairman of PKR of Pahang since 2019, Division Chief of PH of Indera Mahkota since 2018, and Division Chief of PKR of Indera Mahkota since 2011. He was the Member of the Pahang State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Semambu from May 2013 to November 2022. Since November 2022, he has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Petaling Jaya. He holds membership in the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) and ASEAN Parliamentary for Human Rights (APHR). He is also the Chairman of the Centre for Regional Strategic Studies (CROSS) and President of the Malaysia-China Technology Promotion Association. His initiatives include the PJ UP programme for youth empowerment, the PJ Old Town Cultural and Culinary Map, and improvements in infrastructure and public transport.
