  Agreed

The bill seeks to amend the Trade Unions Act 1959 (Act 262) to remove restrictions on trade union formation based on trade, occupation, or industry, allowing greater freedom of association and multiplicity of unions within establishments. It also aims to strengthen collective bargaining, improve worker protections, align with international labour standards (including ILO Convention No. 87 and CPTPP obligations), and increase penalties by removing imprisonment and raising fines. The bill was read for the second and third times and passed by voice vote (AGREED) without a formal division.
